WE LIVE IN BROOKLYN, NEW YORK, IN A LESSER-KNOWN NEIGHBORHOOD CALLED BAY RIDGE.
What we love about it is that it feels like the suburbs, while still being part of the big city. Our house is on a private walk and we’re lucky to be surrounded by wonderful neighbors. Summers are our favorite time of year when everyone leaves their doors open and the walk is full of kids running and playing while the grown-ups socialize and show off their grilling skills.

OUR FIRST (FUR) BORN
TONKA IS OUR 9-YEAR-OLD ENGLISH BULLDOG AND HAS BEEN WITH US SINCE HE WAS SIX MONTHS OLD. Having him has taught us so much about our relationship, about our abilities as dog parents, and about our potential as human parents. Carrie’s family has always had bulldogs so when it came time for us to pick a dog, we knew there was only one choice. He may look fierce, but he is a complete sweetheart and wonderful with children. He wears himself out following our nieces and nephew everywhere, but he can’t bear to miss out on any fun. Once everyone’s worn themselves out, he makes the perfect pillow to rest your head on while you take a little nap.
